TKD EVENTS LIMITED in collaboration with PHATMODE ENTERTAINMENT will be holding their annual closing event for the Matariki ki Waikato Festival.
Matariki Ahunga Nui Matariki Kanohi Iti was created in 2013 to support the development of Matariki celebrations within Waikato, educating the wider community of the Māori New Year through music and kai.
This event includes a three-course menu incorporating traditional Māori ingredients, LIVE entertainment from a variety of artists, a Matariki Runway show providing local designers a platform to showcase their creations and a space for Pakihi Māori to display and sell their products.
This year we are excited to announce that we will be joined by the Modern Māori Quartet – a Māori foursome with a fresh take on classic Māori showbands who love crooning their spin on modern and time-honoured numbers. They are on a journey to share Māori garage party vibes with their renditions of showband and traditional folk songs as well as their original waiata (music).
