An additional creative market to celebrate Matariki will be held over the stat long weekend, Sunday 26th June, 10am-2pm.
We will be collaborating with several other events that the Old School Arts Centre will be running in conjunction with Matariki.
The creative market has a variety of stalls that include many amazing ‘creatives’ from around the Whaingaroa region, and a few stalls further afield.
We would like to acknowledge & celebrate kai, music & creativity. We are in the planning phase right now, so more info will be available shortly. EG we are currently working on a poster to promote this event, recruiting local craft & food makers so that our local community & visitors can experience a ‘Matariki flavour’.
The creative market is a monthly tourist destination and a place where locals catch up – something which has been compromised in recent times due to Covid. We are resilient, active & keen to have this event in June.
I can add more if & when required. Thanks for your time,
Deb King
