“Waikato taniwha rau, he piko he taniwha, he piko he taniwha”
The third-year students of the Bachelor of Performing Arts at Wintec Te Pūkenga have devised an incredible kids’ show that toured around the Waikato rōhe last year. They were gifted stories by hapū and iwi connected to Te Kopu Mania o Kirikiriroa and weaved them into a 40 minute, full energy kids show! It features characters such as our great Kingi Taawhiao, Hotumauea, Karutahi the Taniwha and even Te Awa herself. So grab your tāmariki and whānau and come along on this river ride!
